Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, founded in 1984 by Pastor and Sis Fraser, began its journey in Kansas City after the Fraser family relocated from Guyana, South America, where they pastored for fifteen and a half years. The church started at 6135 Prospect with the help of several local Assemblies of God congregations.
Over the years, Glad Tidings has grown from its humble beginnings into a thriving ministry, expanding to include a daycare and Christian Academy that serve hundreds of families. The church has undergone several building projects, a testament to God’s providence and the dedication of the congregation. For over 40 years, Glad Tidings has been a beacon of faith, service, and community, impacting lives in Kansas City and beyond.
Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church has been serving the Kansas City community for over 40 years. Founded in 1984 by Pastor and Sis Fraser.
Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church is built on the foundation of seven dynamic ministry departments, each designed to serve and nurture different areas of our church family.
Our oldest member is Mary Thompson, who is 95 years old and has been attending since 1945.
The Missionary Support Department at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church is dedicated to extending our reach beyond the local community, supporting missionaries who spread the gospel around the world.
Our mission is to share God’s love and grace by fostering spiritual growth, serving our community with compassion, and building meaningful relationships. We are dedicated to living out our faith through worship, outreach, and impactful service.
Glad Tidings is devoted to loving God, serving people, and leading our community to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are a welcoming family where faith and compassion guide us in making a lasting impact both spiritually and socially. Join us on this journey of love and purpose as we grow together in Christ.
